On an early, freezing cold, morning I walked around with my camera in this silent forest and was immediately attracted by this view. It is so simple and the image gives me the exact representation of the view and thoughts I had at that moment. My thoughts:

Alone, taken away...silence:

The Night Watch (Nachtwacht), recreated in the center of Amsterdam. It is now almost 400 years ago that the famous Dutch painter put all the persons together and painted them to last time forever. Thanks Rembrandt for your great work.

Sometimes you wish you could change time. Maybe the individual who was responsible for this want's that too. But the individual obviously can't change his actions.....only the the results of the individuals choises are felt by others and captured in an image.

The individual:

I think the surroundings of this tree must have been changed in recent years. Still the tree is able to survive, he is alive! I think I will return in a couple of years to this exact same spot to see if he is still there with all his nice details and shapes.

People who see this image tell me it creates a sense of rest in themselves. Do you feel the same?
